Narro expands into the Cluny Works

The construction arm of the firm will build the 165-home Farringdon Row on behalf of Placefirst, which gained approval for the scheme in January. 

The council will decide next week whether to partner with the developer on the scheme in Middlehaven, which would see houses and apartments delivered in the area around the Old Town Hall and towards the waterfront, to cater to the town’s rapidly expanding young professional demographic. 

Keith Stewart, head of the industrial agency team, is replacing Angus White, who has led the business for the last six years.

Gateshead Council is set to approve plans for the removal of the shipping containers that have been the backbone of the popular venue, to be replaced with six single storey buildings on Hillgate Quay. 

Plans for a 4,000 sq ft convenience store, 12,550 sq ft care home, and four retail units are once again recommended for approval at this week’s Stockton-on-Tees meeting, this time via a report from the planning officer.
