This will enable WSP to champion both the North and its work with partners in the region, showing a global audience why the North is worth their investment.
Andy Temple, senior operations director for WSP, will lead the firm’s large delegation attending MIPIM in March 2025. Sandra Robinson, the firm’s strategic director of growth, will also be in attendance.
Temple said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Place North for MIPIM 2025, as this collaboration provides an invaluable platform to engage with key industry leaders, showcase our innovative solutions, and strengthen connections across the global property community.
“We look forward to contributing to conversations that will help shape the future of urban development.”

Major projects include McLaren and Arlington’s £2.5bn York Central, Middlesbrough Development Corporation’s transformation of Gresham, and Renaker’s latest skyscraper cluster at Great Jackson Street in Manchester.
CONNECT WITH WSP
Dino Moutsopoulos, managing partner at Place North, welcomed WSP to the MIPIM delegation – a group that also includes Salford City Council, Hatch, Northern Powerhouse Partnership, Wigan Council, and Whitbread.
“We are very proud to have a firm with the calibre of WSP choose Place North for MIPIM. Such significant backing of our new Northern offering is frankly fantastic,” Moutsopoulos said.
“WSP was clear with what they wanted from MIPIM and I’m very pleased that they have chosen Place North to help them with that.”
Moutsopoulos also spoke about Place’s own plans for the convention in Cannes. This includes discounted tickets for the Place MIPIM delegation, which, at £1,550 plus VAT, represent the best value-for-money offering available in the UK.
With its mission to champion the Northern built environment, Place has also arranged a series of opportunities to help the businesses in the North stand out amongst the crowd at MIPIM. This includes sessions on the UK Stage as well as an arrivals reception and breakfast conference
“Place North MIPIM offerings for 2025 are unique. Never has the private and public sector had the opportunity to use MIPIM in such a way,” Moutsopoulos said.
“Accessible, flexible, cost-effective, and multifaceted, we are proud to be supporting our region, its towns and cities. It is brilliant that WSP has chosen to support the North with us,” he continued.
“I personally look forward to working with Andy Temple, Sandra Robinson, and their wider team as we gear up for March.”
