Place to lead Northern charge at MIPIM
Place North has partnered with MIPIM organiser RX to spotlight the North of England, with opportunities for local authorities and their joint venture partners in the private sector to elevate themselves at the global property convention and showcase what the North has to offer.
MIPIM will see more than 20,000 government and property professionals from 90 countries meet in Cannes from 11 to 14 March 2025.
For the first time, there will be a Northern focus at the UK Hub at MIPIM. This is the North’s moment to show an international audience why the North West, Yorkshire, and the North East are worth investing in.
Place North’s dedicated MIPIM stand in the UK Hub will highlight the North’s £340bn economy, increased devolution powers, and 15 million-strong population. We will focus on the investment sites, the groundbreaking regeneration projects, and the region’s stellar opportunities.

We already have a dynamic programming schedule booked in for MIPIM, with two engaging panel sessions on the UK Stand: “Faster, bigger, better – How can the North become the UK’s development driver?” on 11 March and “Investible North: where should investors put their money?” on 13 March.
Place will also host a separate breakfast conference on 12 March focussed on the government’s housing ambitions. Our popular arrival reception will return in 2025 as well. Both the breakfast conference and arrival reception are for the Place North MIPIM delegation only, with invitations extended to national developers, investors, and government officials.
Place knows that the only way the North will truly shine at MIPIM is if those attending the event Cannes are able to take advantage of all the opportunities the expo offers. To help out, we are hosting “How to do MIPIM well” on 16 January at JMW Solicitors’ office in Manchester.
