Pegasus expands Newcastle office

The development consultancy has grown by 300% since moving into the grade two-listed Gainsborough House in 2020, and now occupies 3,400 sq ft at the Grey Street property.

Pegasus is leasing the space from Newcastle-based Adderstone Group, which acquired the property in 2018.

The office fit-out will be undertaken by Office Monster and will complete in Q1 of this year.

The expansion comes as the company prepares to take on more work in the region, following deeper devolution between the government and the North East Combined Authority and a potential £4.2bn of investment into the region.

Pegasus has also made a couple of senior hires in anticipation of the extra work, including hiring Dominic Waugh as senior direct of planning and Eleanor Scott as senior heritage consultant.

Other tenants include recruitment company Manpower and Hits Radio.

Since acquiring the five-storey building, Adderstone has undertaken refurbishment work including upgrading the reception, cycle storage, and shower facilities.

Commenting on the move, Sandra Manson, Pegasus Group’s executive director, planning, said: “Our commitment and investment to the new office will create a great environment for the team and we look forward to welcoming many new faces in the coming months, while also fostering relationships with our city and development partners.”
