Pair advance at Silverstone
The building consultancy has announced two promotions at its Newcastle office, with Gavin Walker and Martin Bradley stepping up to senior roles.
Both Walker and Bradley have been promoted from chartered building surveyors to senior chartered building surveyors.
Bradley has 16 years’ surveying experience and Walker 11. The former’s background includes working as a building surveyor at Newcastle University and Summers Inman, while Walker previously worked for Hollis and Lambert Smith Hampton.
Their promotions follow the successful delivery of some major construction projects including an office extension for global construction machinery supplier, Hitachi Construction Machinery UK and external repair works to the grade two-listed Station Building in Saltburn.
Silverstone Building Consultancy is a specialist firm of chartered building surveyors and project managers, with offices in Newcastle and Leeds. It currently employs 15 staff.
Walker said: “It’s great for your hard work to be acknowledged and appreciated. I am looking forward to being more involved in not just delivery but the winning of work and having more responsibility as a senior member of the team.”
Bradley added: “Mine and Gavin’s promotions reflect the company’s continued growth with some long-standing clients and also new clients who are giving us repeat work. This has resulted in good opportunities for members of the team to gain experience and advance in their careers.”
Richard Farrey, director at Silverstone Building Consultancy, said: “Gavin and Martin have consistently delivered a high standard of work and added value for our clients. They thoroughly deserve these promotions.”
