Newcastle’s Orega tips 200 desks
Architect and engineering consultancy Ramboll and the Confederation of British Industry will move into the building in May.
The flexible workspace provider signed a long-term management agreement with Palace Capital this time last year, taking 22,500 sq ft at the 82,500 sq ft No2 St James’ Gate.
Following a grade A refurbishment on the second and third floors, the company created a range of working zones, meeting rooms, and private workspaces, with a boutique hotel aesthetic and unlimited coffee on offer.
Other tenants include Polybox Solutions, Green energy, Clyde & Co, Mercia Regional Ventures, Sylvera, SSE Utility Solutions, Warmworks Scotland, Vistech Services, Represent Resourcing and Hays Recruitment.
No2 St James Gate has one of the only column-free floor plates in Newcastle, providing a flexible layout, and is located between Central Station and the Forth Goods Yard.
Daniel Davies, head of asset management at Palace Capital said: “Having so many new companies working from the building
has created a new-found vibrancy and enhanced our business community.”
Jen Weaver, sales and customer service manager at Orega St James Gate, adds: “We knew there was demand for luxury, flexible office space in the city but the interest we’ve had, and the feedback from clients, really has exceeded our expectations.”
