Kershaw rejoins Morgan Sindall

The construction business has bolstered its leadership team, adding John Kershaw as area commercial manager for the North East and Cumbria.

Kershaw brings with him more than 35 years of experience in construction. He previously had a stint with MS between 2006 and 2012, and most recently worked at Galliford Try.

Morgan Sindall said that the move comers at an exciting time for the business, which earlier this year launched its new regional office in Rotterdam House on Newcastle’s Quayside.

The contractor recently started a £12m centre for workforce training provider TTE Technical, part of the Middlesbrough College Group.

In early June, Morgan Sindall Construction also announced it had secured a place on procurement group NEPO’s next-generation construction framework.

The framework will cover a diverse range of construction projects over the next six years including new-build, extension, upgrade and refurbishment of buildings including schools, hospitals, libraries, social housing and civic facilities.

On his appointment, Kershaw said: “I’m joining at what is a very exciting time of growth for Morgan Sindall. The region’s potential is there for all to see and I’m excited to be at the forefront of what promises to be an important time for Morgan Sindall as the business develops in the North East and Cumbria.

“The projects the team are working on demonstrate Morgan Sindall’s commitment to create inspiring places in communities across the region. I’m happy to have rejoined this brilliant company and look forward to pushing on to create lasting and sustainable developments across our region.”
