Host of additions for Adderstone Living
Design manager Jamie Stainthorpe features among a raft of hires at the Newcastle-based affordable housing firm as it seeks further growth.
Stainthorpe, who has previously had spells with Placefirst, Tolent and Kapex, has joined as design manager with a brief to develop further the company’s choice of contemporary affordable properties for social housing providers across the North of England.
He brings more than 15 years’ experience in residential and commercial property development, utility co-ordination, architectural and civil engineering design to the role.
Senior quantity surveyor Graham Murray, project manager Michael Fucile, who spent 30-plus years with Sunderland housing provider Gentoo, and assistant project manager Gareth Taylor, will all provide additional technical expertise, insight and skills to the Jesmond-based company.
Currently employing 30 people and part of the Adderstone Group, Adderstone Living’s stated aim is a commitment to tackling the housing crisis, working with social housing providers to deliver affordable new homes. Its ‘land- ed’ solutions include sourcing suitable land, scheme design and securing planning permission to enable quality homes to be delivered.
Managing director Stephen McCoy said a resilient commercial performance is being driven by securing new business and development land, organic growth, skills’ investment and the expansion of operations into other regions notably Yorkshire and the North West.
He said: “Jamie, Graham, Michael and Gareth’s collective skills and experience perfectly complement our existing capabilities within a growing team, helping us to boost the delivery of our high-quality service and products to clients while reflecting Adderstone Living’s core values. I’m really looking forward to working with them to help further raise the company’s commercial profile and drive growth.”
