F&B refresh at Metrocentre
Two new dining options and the refurbishment of existing restaurants have amounted to 25,000 sq ft of changes at the North East’s largest shopping centre.
YoYo Noodle has opened a 2,786 sq ft space in the Blue Mall, while German Doner Kebab has opened its doors in the Yellow Mall.
Meanwhile, Wagamama has completed the refurbishment of its 6,000 sq ft restaurant, as have ASK and Nando’s.
Tomahawk Steakhouse, a North East-based chain, is currently fitting out its restaurant in the Yellow Mall and is set to open before the end of the year, as is Greggs, which will open its new 3,491 sq ft, 89-seat unit by Christmas.
Noah Knapton, asset manager at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, asset managers of Metrocentre, commented: “Quality F&B is critical for the shopping centre of the future, appealing to different visit intentions, so Metrocentre’s strategy focuses just as much on introducing new and exciting options as it does on working with existing operators to create the best experience possible.
“These new openings, refurbishments, and upsizes are a testament to the centre’s appeal as a prime destination for both established and emerging food and drink operators.”
