Eddisons boosts Newcastle team
Valuation specialist Dan Nicholson has joined as an associate director, returning to the city after a spell with South East firm Glenny.
Nicholson spent five years in London working for Glenny. With almost 15 years’ industry experience, he specialises in land and property valuation across a range of sectors for secured lending, accounting and purchase or disposals.
Anthony Spencer, managing partner of Eddisons, said: “Valuation is a fast-growing area of our business. We are focused on growing the team in the North East and have further hires planned over the coming months.
“With more than 100 people in our valuation team nationally, demand continues to increase from our clients for outstanding valuation advice across the commercial and residential sectors.”
“We are really pleased to welcome Dan to Eddisons family and it is great to see the appointment of yet another highly experienced team member as we continue to grow.”
Nicholson had spells with Bradley Hall and Robertson Simpson earlier in his career.
He said: “It’s good to be back in the north and I’m excited to reconnect with familiar faces in the industry up here.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge of using the skills and experience I’ve honed in London in my new role with Eddisons to make a genuine impact in the North East region that I know so well.”
Earlier this year Eddisons, which has its Newcastle base at Portland House, boosted its valuation services by launching a partnership deal with proptech firm Valos, designed to streamline the firm’s valuation process and enhance the valuation reports it produces for clients.
Eddisons now employs around 500 people across a national network of more than 30 offices. A string of acquisitions by the firm includes that of SDL Property Auctions and Bristol-based Andrew Forbes Chartered Surveyors at the end of 2023.
