Bellway to add to Seaham Garden Village

The housebuilder has submitted plans for 149 homes next to the development in County Durham.

Plans show a housing mix of two- to five-bed homes, with 22 designated as affordable.

Bellway noted that the ‘relatively small-scale extension’ would support the neighbouring scheme.

Earlier this year, Esh Construction started work on 750 affordable homes at Seaham Garden Village, which will eventually encompass 1,500 homes, a primary school, allotments, shops, and health and wellbeing facilities.

Social housing provider Karbon Homes is the organisation responsible for the homes being delivered by Esh. Taylor Wimpey and Miller Homes are taking forward the market housing within Seaham Garden Village.
