TGA Consulting Engineers promotes two

Dave Warwick and Stephen Weddle have been made directors at the North East-headquartered firm, having each built up specialist teams.

Partner Jason Jobes said: “Both Dave and Stephen have been an integral part of TGA’s growth in recent years, including establishing our building performance and BIM|TS teams – both of which have helped to set us apart from our competitors and have been instrumental in winning new projects.”

Since joining TGA in 2019, Warwick has established and developed the firm’s building performance team as ESG has risen up the agenda for property owners and occupiers, ensuring the team is an integral part of the TGA team on all projects, the firm said.

He said: “TGA has given me the opportunity to create a building performance team with real strength and depth in all aspects of building performance and sustainable design, allowing us to integrate efficiency and health and wellbeing into all of TGA’s projects.

“My promotion to director will now give me the opportunity to ensure building performance is embedded in TGA’s strategic decisions and future growth strategy,”

Weddle, who has worked at TGA for 23 years, has been promoted to director, head of digital technologies. His journey within TGA began as a trainee CAD technician.

He said: “Guiding TGA’s BIM team has been both a privilege and a pleasure. We’ve built a team of vibrant and talented individuals who are excited by the benefits that technology and collaboration can bring to the industry. Along with aiding the delivery of TGA projects, we’ve been able to provide specialist support to external parties. My elevation to director highlights the critical role of BIM within TGA, both now and in the future.”

TGA is headquartered in Durham, with an office in Newcastle, as well as having bases in Leeds, London and Stevenage.

Jobes concluded: “It is vital that there are succession plans in place, so the business is sustainable beyond that of the current directors and partners. Both Dave and Stephen possess a bold vision for the future with a focus on innovation and collaboration and they are poised to lead TGA to even greater success.”
